WBB&F Contest Information
We are so grateful that Jimmy and Aisha stopped by to inform our students about the upcoming competition at Workplay on December 16th,2018. This is also a Hair and Fashion show! Those not competing or assisting are encouraged to attend Workplay to see the hair and fashion show as well as attend some classes offered. Competitors and assistants will likely not have time to break away from prepping to attend the show. The competition on stage will not begin until after 2pm. Students competing can invite friends and family to attend the show and competition ($25/ticket). Below are some notes that may help interested competitors!

Barber Option 2 - Creative Barbering
MUA- Beauty TAMED the Beast. Makeup does not have to be 50% beauty and 50% beast but should clearly depict beauty aspects and beastly aspects.

-Time: Most of competitors work will be conducted backstage, PRIOR to the competition starting, with the exception of chemicals. Those should be done on stage. Competitors will be given a short amount of time to finish their look on their model. Competitors are allowed to spice up their performance by dressing up their model or themselves for when they go onstage or adding music that fits with their submission, BUT they will only be judged on the Hair/Makeup, not on outfits or performances etc.

Barber Option 2 - 20 minutes

Again, we are thankful for the time Aisha and Jimmy took to speak to our students about the competition and also for the encouragement and motivation they gave them with starting their career! Jimmy has also opened the doors of his Barbershop in Birmingham (House of Cuts) for students to come visit and observe! He is hiring at this time and planning to open another location in February of 2019 in Irondale, where he will have even more open seats! Students interested should apply! Jimmy also gave his personal number during the session, which will not be listed here, but feel free to contact him on his business FB page “House of Cuts” or ask a friend for his number.
